How to check if a loan offer email is a scam?

3% Loan being offered by Mr Randy Tom with an email address to respond to as randytom.loanoffer@gmail.com

How to check if a loan offer email is a scam?
Pure scam. If you go through with it they will ask for a deposit from you, once you pay, they disappear.
Reply:Never accept anything through e-mail. It is very anonymous and anyone can use it to scam you.

Only accept things that you personally went out of your way to get. Researching companies, downloading applications, and submitting them would mean that you are soliciting for their services.

You should be seeking their services. If they are coming to you out of the blue to offer their services, decline their services. Great offers are only offered to people who have great credit. If they're offering it to people everywhere, then they're either misleading people or attempting to scam them.

Also, I would be wary of anyone who uses generic e-mail addresses like gmail, hotmail, and yahoo. It's easy to close/delete the account and make another account. You should look for e-mail addresses that come from company names. That way, you can look up where the company is located (in case you need to sue them, etc). Do a google search for "whois server".
Reply:If it looks, walks, smells, and sounds like a scam then IT IS!

As the others have stated, email offers and those who use free email service are a sure scam. Ask how to get out of debt here on answers and you will get plenty of offers of easy credit, believe me.

Listen to us, stay away.

Hope this helps you made a decision.
Reply:First hint: It's an e-mail

Second hint: The loan is offered by a PERSON, not a BANK

Third hint: The e-mail address? A google address??
Reply:It's a scam for an interest rate that low
